Teaching

Linked Data is fairly new and we are happy to give a workshop / lecture to introduce you to it. For master and PhD-students (within economic and social history), we organize a yearly course in data management for historians. This course lets students work according to the FAIR data principles, instructs them on the basics of quantitative data management, and lets students make and query their own Linked Data.

The course consists of 8 weeks, during which experts in the field discuss:

  1. The principles of FAIR data
  2. Data bases and scripts
  3. Pipelines and data cleaning
  4. Data visualization
  5. The quantitative research cycle
  6. The principles of Linked Data
  7. Querying Linked Data
  8. Working with Linked Data
